Over the past 25 years, Mike Giaimo has established himself as one of the most fierce advocates in the Upper Cumberland. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Law School and one of the last true remaining trial attorneys. In 2020, Crabtree and Patterson recruited Mike to the firm for his brand of aggressive representation in defending the criminally accused. He primarily focuses on serious felony offenses. Mike’s trial resume is second to none. He has one of the most vast and varied legal backgrounds in Tennessee. Mike has tried hundreds of bench trials across the state. Known as a fierce litigator, he practices in the Federal Court for the United States District Court for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the state courts of Tennessee.

Mike is one of a select few attorneys to serve on the federal Criminal Justice Act (“CJA”) panel qualified and authorized to represent defendants in the federal criminal justice system in the Middle District of Tennessee. He has argued numerous appeals, both civil and criminal, before Tennessee appellate courts and the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio. Additionally, Mike manages our associate attorneys in the areas of personal injury, domestic relations, civil rights, real estate disputes, appeals, probate, business transactions, contracts, and employment discrimination.
